Take your time and practice any address that you have planned for a baptist church. It should go on to gives thanks for health, happiness, and family and hope for all of mankind to find peace in this world. Any speech or address done within the confines of a baptist church, whether it be white, black, brown, or whatever, should always includes a blessing for another day of life, and give thanks for all of life's blessings.
If there is anyone present in the audience who has not yet found the Lord, part of the welcome address would include a prayer that this would be the day that the person would find a place for the lord in their lives. Black baptists churches on the whole tend to be conservative and a welcome address would include a prayer for all present and general wishes for good health for all. Having a good welcome address sets the tone for the entire service so it should be worded carefully and thought out ahead of time to be all inclusive. The most common welcome address in either would include a general welcome and a hope that the visitor experiences the presence of God while in the midst of the church and the congregation and decides to return after the service is concluded. Any baptist church be it predominately white or black has a standard welcome address for regulars as well as newcomers to their church.
